SME Conference Sept02
Funding Explained" - Conference At Stansted For SMEs
Following the huge success of the
"Access EU Funding" Conference held in Suffolk in July this
year, Bashir Khanbhai, Conservative MEP for the East of England, is
organising a second seminar for Small and Medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
on how to access European Union funds.
"EU Funding Explained" will
give delegates the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the types
of EU funding available to small businesses and the most effective ways of
applying for them. Practical advice and examples will be given in three
presentations by representatives from Euro Keys, an independent European
Public Affairs company, the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) and
the European Information Centre.
The seminar, which is primarily open to
SMEs from Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and
Suffolk, will take place at the Bury Lodge Hotel, near Stansted Airport in
Essex on Friday 11th October 2002,
Admission is strictly by pre-booking with
Louise Fox (Tel.: 00 32 228 47953 or email: email@example.com) by
4th October 2002. The fee is £25 and includes a buffet lunch.
Mr.Khanbhai said: "There is a vast
amount of EU funding available to the UK and I want to make sure Eastern
Region's businesses know how to access it. My last conference
attracted delegates from a wide variety of organisations
from across the region, including local businessmen, farmers, voluntary
organisations and county councillors.
"It proved to be such a valuable and
informative day that I have decided to hold another one - I want as many
people as possible to be aware of the opportunities open to them. SMEs,
from every sector, create jobs and economic growth and so I am determined
to help them prosper in our region."
